Joshua is the boat with which Bernard
Moitessier sailed in 1968, in the first
single handed race with no stopovers,
around the world called the “ Golden
Global Challenge”. The boat was
named after Joshua Slocum, the first
sailor to sail single handed around the
world in 1898. Joshua is now owned by
the maritime museum of La Rochelle
who maintain and sail the boat
regularly.
